Setting the Proper Tone

Like any other short story, an obituary can be written in different ways. Most obituaries are written in a solemn tone, one that befits the seriousness of the loss of a human being. We want to set the tone that you desire. If you want a somber tone, we’ll provide it. Likewise, if you want to take a more lighthearted approach to your obituary, we’ll oblige.

In addition to reporting the straight facts about a person – next-of-kin, profession, accomplishments, etc. – the obituary exists in order also to give a measure of information about the person’s lifestyle. What did he enjoy doing? What did he hold dear to his heart? What truly was this person’s essence?

In all of our obituary samples, we vow to capture the proper tone for your obituary.
